SuperBowl parties should be fun and easy, not stressful. Don’t make an extensive food menu with too many items that need to be cooked at different temperatures, consuming your entire day or even weekend.
When deciding what to serve at our SuperBowl party this year I looked to our favorite food truck in Columbus for inspiration: TatoHeads. You get tots with different flavorings and sauce combinations, it’s phenomenal. So along with some classic meat and sides, the highlight of our SuperBowl menu will be a fun, easy and tasty Tater Tot Bar.
What You Need:
(This recipe is just one example of what seasonings and dipping sauces you can use)
- Tater Tots, any amount (I used Ore Ida)
- Salt & Pepper
- Ranch Seasoning Mix
- Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Heinz Hot & Spicy Ketchup
- Miracle Whip Kickin Onion Blossom Dipping Sauce
- I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray
- Plastic Shot Glasses
Preheat your oven and cook the tater tots according to instructions on package. Remove from oven and lightly salt and pepper. Sprinkle half with ranch seasoning and half with parmesan. Then sprinkle some of them with both. If the seasoning doesn’t seem to be sticking then spray a little of the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray to help it stick.
Other seasoning options: Shredded Cheese, Cajun Seasoning, Onion Powder etc. Anything that sounds good would work, check your grocery’s pre made seasonings out in the spice aisle
For sauces, I paired the Ranch seasoned tots with the spicy ketchup and the parmesan with the kicking onion blossom sauce. This is also something you can really play around with and experiment.
Other Sauce Options: Marinara, Ranch, Mustard, Tzatziki, Peppercorn Ranch
I suggest putting sauce bottles on the counter and having plastic shot glasses. They are the perfect size for dipping and not having excess sauce that gets wasted, and helps to avoid everyone trying to dip into one container.
