This Valentine’s Day we got to travel the world together at Disney’s Epcot. We only had a few short hours to cram it all in, but I think we did a good job experiencing a little piece of each-having a unique and fun date night.
We went from country to country admiring the buildings, cultural gift shops & the yummy food and alcohol options. Our favorite country pre-dinner was definitely Italy. We started off having some wine and beer at a small cafe and then continued on to Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. We stood at the bar chatting with our bartenders, who were from Italy, tried their wine suggestions(which were delicious) and had a small plate of caprese salad (one of our favorites).
Soon after Italy it was time for the IllumiNations Reflections of Earth Show. A beautiful firework and cultural images display you can watch standing in any country around the lagoon. Luckily for us it was an extended hours night so we still had time for a late night dinner.
We chose the most romantic restaurant in the park; Chefs De France in Paris, France. It was reservation only, so I made reservations two weeks in advanced at the last time slot of the night(granted it was Valentine’s Day)-so if you’re going to Epcot and want to eat here-I suggest planning ahead!
The Chef came out and talked to me himself explaining the Gluten Free options and what he could do for me. They then brought me out a gluten free roll and some yummy wine to go along with it. Teddy order the Grilled Tenderloin of Beef and I ordered the Half of An All Natural Chicken-Teddy thought his was good and I thought mine was amazing. For dessert we got Chocolate Mousse to go, which was the perfect night topper when we got back to our hotel room (At The Dolphin-which was in walking distance.)
Epcot is definitely not the place to go for rides and big attractions, but is perfect if you want to enjoy some good food, experience different cultures, or have a romantic evening!
